Vintage Black Forest Hand Carved Chained Sitting Bear Inkwell

Vintage Black Forest Hand Carved Chained Sitting Bear Inkwell. Measures 4 3/4' tall, 2 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" in depth. Beautifully carved bear with right ankle chained to wood block he is sitting on. Please note there is a dividing line between the head and shoulders. It could be that the head broke off and was reglued or possibly it was once was an inkwell and somewhere along its journey, sadly someone removed the hinge on the back of his neck and glued the head down--I've seen a bear with the exact pose on the internet and it was an inkwell. No other issues with this piece. Regardless, it is a wonderful piece and priced accordingly.
