Antique St. Joseph with Baby Jesus Shadow Box with Silk Fabric backing and Prayer Card. Measures 17 1/2" tall, 13 3/4" wide and 3" in depth. St Joseph statue is made of plaster flanked by two golden urns with florals. The statue is in front of a gold foil background with pleated fabric around the sides. A prayer card is in front of the statue and says, "INDULGENCE PRAYER TO ST. JOSEPH; Remember, O most pure and spouse to the Blessed Virgin Mary, my sweet protector. St. Joseph, that no one who ever had recourse to thy protection, or implored thy aid without obtaining relief. Considering therefore, in my goodness, I come before thee and humbly supplicate thee. Oh, despise not my petitions, foster-father of the Redeemer, but graciously receive them. Amen. An indulgence of 300 days, once a day. (Pope Pius IX)" The frame has a great deal of detail and is in a gold tone. It is good shape with some minor nicks on the front but more on the sides on the frame. The glass is not cracked or chipped--just needs a good cleaning. The back of the shadow box is covered with a silk and paper fabric. Please review pictures for details and condition.
