15" Tall Antique Last Rites Viaticum Wall/Tabletop Wooden Cabinet, Homan Silver Plated HMS plated Dish and Cup, Holy Water Bottle, Cloths

Made in late 1800s to early 1900s, this is a 15" Tall Last Rites Viaticum Wall/Tabletop Wooden Cabinet, Homan Silver Plated HMS plates, Homan Silver Plated Last Rites Cup, Holy Water Bottle. Item measures 15" tall, 12 3/8" wide and has a depth of 7". The cabinet sits on a multi tiered wooden base. The front has two doors, each with a brass metal cross. There is a metal "catch" at the top of the right door to keep the cabinet solidly closed. The doors are hinged and have decorative carved pillars on each end and on the right center door. The cabinet has a depth of 5". It has dark purple velvet lined walls with red satin straps to hold two dishes on the back wall and one red strap on the side to hold the Holy Water bottle. The interior doors also are lined similarly and have two white silken straps. One strap is ripped apart and the other is still intact those show signs of ripping. The white straps have red stamped emblem of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the left side and Arma Christi (Latin for weapons of Christ or the instruments of the Passion) on the right. Below the white straps are two silky purple pouches to hold items. The silver plated dishes show tarnish. They are decoratively engraved and have large HMS letters inscribed in the middle. They are made by Homan and are part of a Last Rites Sick Call kit. The other Homan Sick Call item is a cup. It also is tarnished. The handle is engraved with a cross. The back of the cup details the Homan Company markings. It shows the date of April, 97' (1897). Set also comes with a Holy Water bottle with silver metal decorative cage surrounding bottle. The lid is a glass stopper also with silver metal trim. There is a silver colored mystery piece with a cross at the top. It might have been on top of another bottle or spoon possibly. Finally, there are two square cotton clothes. There are minor stains but are in good condition otherwise with no rips or holes. The back is a solid piece of wood with a hook at the top for hanging or this cabinet can be set on a tabletop. There are a couple of scratches as shown in pictures. There have been no repairs made on this piece. Please see pictures for details and condition.
