Made in the very erly 1900s, Gothic Sick Call - Last Rites Hand Carved wooden Catholic Religious Travel Kit with candles, candles holders Holy Water Bottle and Crucifix. This small intricately hand carved wooden box measures 8 1/4" tall, 4 5/8" wide and 2 1/2" in depth. Underneath the pictured Crucifixion with the Virgin Mary and Mary Magdalene are the elements of Holy Communion -- the wheat, grapes, and a chalice. Its contents include: a holy water glass bottle-the bottle has a milky film inside it; two lit wax candles that fit inside the carved wooden candle rings; Two wooden carved candle rings; Wooden Crucifix. The box pulls down in the back to access its contents. The inside of the box is wood and not lined with any fabric or paper. The outside of the box does have a metal closing clasp at the top and a brass hinge at the bottom. There are a couple of minor scratches and nicks on the inside and outside of the wooden box--but overall, it is in very good condition. The Holy Water Bottle is empty.
